My travel memories and to share the places of interest during my travel. I will detail out each trip in their own posts. I worked hard for extra money during my college age to fund for my holiday trips in the States and I didn't regret for it ;)

May 2007, KUL-LAX-BNA

My first ever flight experience and it was almost 24-hour flight journey; for 4 years of adventure in Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN.

From KUL-LAX there was a stopover in Taipei, and we were welcomed by a Malaysian embassy representative at Tom Bradley International airport Los Angeles. and from LAX there was a transit at Dallas TX, then to Nashville, TN. 

Summer breaks, Fall breaks, Winter breaks, and Spring breaks. We used it all to explore the States. Coz I don't know when I will have the opportunity to come back.

Winter 2007

Florida - Universal Studios, celebrated new year in Disneyland FL, roller-coaster rides in Busch Gardens, then to Miami Beach. Ada drama okay, we got into an accident, langgar our friend's rental car in front of us sampai airbag keluar. So we had to arrange for replacement car from our car rental. Servis terbaik, we were stranded for few hours, then everything was sorted out with the new car.

Spring 2008

Spring break spent at University of Minnesota, Minneapolis-St. Paul twin cities. 

Summer 2008

Balik Malaysia for kakja's wedding. 

Six Flags Atlanta, Georgia. I love roller-coasters. But that time many rides were closed due to Tornado warning so kitorang naik whichever available je….Then went to downtown Atlanta, World of Coca Cola etc.

Fall 2008

Fall break at Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, TN. 1st time we went there for camping. The view was great for those nature lovers.

Winter 2008

Jalan2 kat Michigan State University and stayed at a friend's place.

Spring 2009 

Spring break at Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, TN. 2nd time we stayed in wooden cabin house. And pergi uphill main ski and snowboard. I screwed up, tak reti control kaki :D

Summer 2009

Roadtrip to Boston (MIT, Harvard, Yale universities), then all the way up to NYC to apply for Canadian Visa, cross border to Canada, pass over Niagara Falls from Canada side, and stayed at Ottawa, Ontario Canada courtesy of friend studied in Carleton University Ottawa. Traveled to some places in Canada including the French-speaking city; Montreal.

Raya at Malaysian Embassy, Washington DC.

Winter 2009

Houston TX visited aunty Rose Anita place, navy base in TX, New Orleans to apply for Mexico visa, then went to Mexico border via land transport. Ni ada drama sebab buat plan gila. We rented the car under our senior's name who didn’t join the trip (coz the car renter doesn’t allow people below 21yo to rent the car). So we tried our luck to pass the border (ni idea Dalilah XD) and we had to make a U-turn back to US cz the immigration won't let us go. So we screwed up our Winter trip, and we came up with last minute plan for other places driving from Texas up to Colorado.

We passed USS Lexington Navy Base, then New Mexico, then stayed with friends from The University of Kansas. We traveled via the famous Route 66. Then continued our journey to Colorado for skiing & snowboarding, stayed with friends who studied in Colorado School of Mines.  

Spring 2010

I think I didn't go anywhere because I have to work to fund for my flight ticket back home T_T

Summer 2010

Balik Malaysia for 3 months. 

Trip to Bandung Indonesia and visited friends of friend in Universitas Padjadjaran. Tangkuban Parahu, Kawah Putih, Saung Angklung Udjo, Kartika Sari to buy brownies, pasar untuk beli kain, etc.

Fall 2010

Raya with Malaysian community in Chicago, Illinois - also went to downtown Chicago and took picture with the Bean sculpture.

Winter 2010

Roadtrip to California. Universal Studios Cali, Lombard Street, Alamo Square, San Francisco - Golden Gate Bridge, San Franc beaches - Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, San Diego, Ghirardeli Chocolate, Alcatraz Island - audio tour of former prison in the island, lebih kurang history Pulau Jerejak Malaysia. Las Vegas to experience 'the city that never sleeps', then Hollywood. Grand Canyon, Arizona - it was snowing there so we had quite good pictures, . 

Spring 2011

Cruise to Western Caribbean from Mobile AL through Cozumel & Calica Mexico. Visited the Mayan Ruins of Tulum and Cenote in Calica. 

Summer 2011

May 2011

Final year trip to NYC, this time we stayed in a Airbnb house in New Jersey. I visited Niagara waterfall again but this time from the US side. Took the Maid of the Mist boat ride. Went to the liberty island just to see the Statue of Liberty for the first time. And all the hypes in NYC, Times Square, Apple Cube, took subway to Grand Central (macam KL Sentral concept in Malaysia), Central Park - the famous park in NYC.

June 2011

Midwest Games 2011 @ University of Wisconsin-Madison. The end of my US holiday trip.

CNY 2012

Singapore roadtrip with vandy friends. Stayed in my bro in law's parents' house in Skudai. Went to Johor Premium Outlet, then next day we took bus from Tune Hotel to Universal Studios Singapore. Return to JB taking the last bus ride back to Tune Hotel. Day Trip.

April 2014

Honeymoon in Krabi. Phi Phi Island etc.

New Year 2015

Trip to Auckland NZ visiting husband's aunty. Find out more about Mesra NZ homestay. Taupo, Hobbiton village.

June 2015

Local travel. Pangkor Laut Resort, Perak.
